Melissa Kalan - Executive Director

Melissa Kalan is an accomplished CEO, keynote speaker, commercial strategist, and business owner with extensive leadership experience across professional associations, hospitality, tourism, aviation, and the not-for-profit sector.

As Executive Director of the Creative Skills Retail Council (CSRC), Melissa brings a proven track record in building modern, purpose-driven membership organisations.

In 2021, Melissa was recognised and appointed Adjunct Associate Professor by Taylor’s University, Malaysia, for her contributions to advancing education for hospitality and tourism professionals.

A recognised thought leader and published author in the Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management, Melissa also successfully achieved ASQA accreditation for a nationally recognised VET qualification in revenue management through her work with the Australian Revenue Management Association (ARMA).

Regularly invited to speak, moderate, and consult, Melissa is known for her clarity, warmth, and commercial integrity.

At her core, Melissa is deeply passionate about aligning value with purpose and building thriving, future-focused communities that create meaningful change and lasting impact.
